Thinking of Those Before Us

As I looked across the canyon, I couldn't help but imagining what it was like for the early pioneers to cross this terrain. There were no gravel roads to guide them, no "google" on which they could plot their course, no GPS systems to keep them on track. Their bravery still cries out from these rock mountains, the thrill of discovery and the fear of the unknown. Others thought it was the wind we heard, but I believe it was their voices urging us on.
