One of the interesting things I've learned about the Press Pause Moments anthology is how the stories in the book are resonating with so many women. Different women in various stages of their lives; some who relate to stories of cancer survival, others of widowhood, divorce, self-discovery. Many women.
But the book, as I'm told, is more than a good read. It is inspiring and motivating others. Perhaps it gives courage to those who need it right now. Maybe for others a sense of camaraderie and comfort in knowing others have dealt with challenges they may be facing, too. There are those reading it because a wife, friend, sister, mentor, mentee or colleague has contributed her work to the collection. The diversity is amazing!
I am inspired as well. This book at first was a goal for me, to get a book published, to hold something tangible in my hands that represented a milestone in my quest to establish myself as an author and speaker. But as a whole, an entity, it has been so much more. Each story for me has become like an old friend, and I know many of the writers as more than just names on a page now.
I love hearing from you about your thoughts on the book. Which story inspired you? Have you been motivated to do something you never thought you would? What kinds of transitions are going on in your lives? Please know you are welcome to share your comments here!
