I am pleased to announce that The Association for Women in Communications has named Press Pause Moments its 2011 Clarion Award winner for best book & cd-rom/dvd!
The Clarion awards is a renowned competition and highly sought after by both men and women. The Clarion awards are named for the medieval trumpet known for its clarity and symbolize excellence in clear, concise, communications. The awards annually recognize excellence in communications fields. This year's competition drew entries from 30 states, three countries, and 90 Clarion awards have been awarded.
Started in 1972, the Clarion program honors excellence in 149 categories across all communications disciplines, including advertising & marketing, audiovisual productions, books & CDs, brochures, custom & special publications, education, film, fund development, magazines, major news events, newsletters, newspapers, online media, photography, graphics & design communications, public relations, radio and television.
The awards will be presented October 15 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the AWC National Conference and I plan to be there to accept the award live!
This is a BIG honor! I am told by AWC that the competition was quite stiff this year so I am even more so humbled that this anthology about change and transition has received such a high honor.
